305 SFS military working dogs
Rambo, 305th Security Forces Squadron military working dog, takes down training assailant Senior Airman Ryan Knoph, 305th SFS dog handler. Airman Knoph is taken down without injury thanks to the protection of the wrap, which is padded leather with a burlap replaceable cover. A part of the dog’s training is to always protect his handler and the handler is trained to protect the dog. According to his handler, Rambo is one of the most protective dogs on McGuire. Although they are under the command of the handler at all times, the dogs will protect their handlers against any perceived threat; this is why there are warning signs on the vehicles they are transported in and in some of the areas they patrol.
