Training keeps McGuire firefighters ready for anything
Right, Jeremy Bourquin, 305th Civil Engineer Squadron firefighter, simulates hand line operations during egress training exercises Jan. 15. The nozzle contains a pistol-like grip on the bottom for extra stability. The firefighter can control the water stream by pulling the top lever back. The gloves are worn year round and are fire resistant to help protect hands from injury. Left, Staff Sgt. Stephan Gallick, 514th CES Reservist, helps stabilize the hose line. The line pulls the firefighters back, due to the high water pressure, so his job is to pull the line forward. (U.S. Air force photo/Carlos Cintron)
