Chriss Marshman, a private contractor, operates a skid steer while constructing the new Wacky World playground near the Arnold Gate Nov. 20. He and his partner, Michael Williams, have been working on the playground for one week; depending on weather, its scheduled completion date is Nov. 28. The 305th Civil Engineer Squadron’s operation support section is overseeing the project. The new playground is Americans with Disabilities Act compliant, accommodates more than 200 children ages 5-12, is made from all recycled high-density plastic and will have 62 elevated components. A shredded rubber base will be used throughout the playground and new picnic tables and benches will be located at the site. (U.S. Air Force photo/Airman 1st Class Bekah Phy)
