Gold Star Mom Ruck March

A team competing in the military heavy category races toward the finish line of the Gold Star Mom Ruck March. About 19 members of the Gold Star Moms, an organization of parents who have lost a son or daughter in combat, attended the event held in honor of their sons and daughters. Each member competing in the military heavy category carried a 30-pound pack for the duration of the 10K course; all teams carried a photo or memento provided by a Gold Star Mom honoring her son or daughter who died in combat.
