Rhett Casper, 87th DS endodontist, perform a root canal utilizing a surgical operating microscope Sept. 5, 2013, on Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J. Dental surgical microscopes allow for ease of use and employ ergonomic design for the dentist while performing surgery. This enables the dentist to maintain a comfortable position and focus on the patient. Most dental surgical microscopes are controlled via foot pedal for hands-free operation.
