NYNG troops back in states following Afghanistan deployment
San Antonio, Texas, native, Capt. David Taliaferro (left), Brooklyn, N.Y.-based, 133rd Quartermaster Company commander, attached to the Fort Bragg, N.C.-based, 82nd Sustainment Brigade-U.S. Central Command Materiel Recovery Element, and his company first sergeant, 1st Sgt. John Kriz, who hails from Carmel, N.Y., uncase their company colors, assuming responsibility for operations of the Kandahar retrosort yard, during an April 24, 2014, transfer of authority ceremony with the Vallejo, Calif.-based 349th Quartermaster Company at Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan.
