MP twins deploy to Kuwait
Twin sisters U.S. Army Spcs. Brooke and Erin Legate, 23 years old from Knoxville, Tenn., prepare to deploy with fellow service members of the 252nd Military Police Company from Cleveland, Tenn. The company is deploying on a year-long mission to Kuwait in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. The sisters enlisted in the Tennessee Army National Guard in April 2010 on a six-year enlistment and attended Basic and Advance Individual Training at Fort Leonard-Wood, Mo. “Our dad and uncle both served in the military and they really liked it,” said Brooke, the oldest of the two by one minute. “This will be our first deployment and we volunteered for it.” Upon completion of their deployment, the sisters are planning to join the family physical therapy business back home. Brooke has one year left to complete her physical therapy schooling and Erin has recently completed her prerequisites for nursing school. (U.S. Air Force photo by Pascual Flores/released)
