SSgt. Jones earns scholarship

Staff Sgt. Alvin Jones II, 87th Comptroller Squadron financial services supervisor, earned the Heart of a Hero Scholarship, given by Mary Pat Christie during an event at New Jersey Governor Chris Christie's residence Sept. 14, 2015. The Heart of a Hero Scholarship is awarded to veterans who are involved in the New Jersey community. Jones received $5,000 to assist with his tuition as he works toward Bachelor's Degree in Finance from Ashford University and one day hopes to open his own business. (Courtesy photo)
