New program clears base of abandoned vehicles
The first tow for abandoned vehicles occurs June 17, 2019 on Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey in the impound lot. A civilian company will transport abandoned vehicles off base to a junkyard. The Abandoned Vehicle Program has been established to ensure illegally parked vehicles and deserted vehicles are cleared from base. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Briana Cespedes)
