100 miles rucked for 9/11
Participants prepare for the 100 mile ruck march on Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey Sept. 10, 2019. Every year volunteers walk from Joint Base MDL to the 9/11 Memorial, New York City to raise money along the way while informing passersby of the cause. Throughout the 100 miles, participants took turns carrying a prisoner of war/missing in action flag along with an American flag that served in Afghanistan to commemorate the individuals who lost their lives during the attacks.
