Joint Base MDL offers CCAF Mentorship Program

The Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst CCAF Mentorship Program began in August 2019. The program brings education to our Airmen work centers during duty time. Tech. Sgt. Aaron Hinton from the 305th Air Mobility Maintenance Squadron led the initiative through coordination with Ms. Jennifer George, Coordinator of Rowan College at Burlington County (RCBC). Additionally, Hinton made contact with every unit showing interest by visiting commander calls, roll calls and having direct interaction with potential students. He also coordinated initial tuition assistance briefings and invited the education center staff to brief those who were interested. After garnering a great amount of interest, the next step was to select the first class and create a “How to Guide” for individuals to use when enrolling in RCBC and registering for the class. After all of Hinton’s hard work, the speech class ran from October 23 to December 11. Currently, he is coordinating the next class which is projected to start January 17.
