Providing results: 87th Medical Group laboratory continues mission during COVID-19

Senior Airman William Jones, 87th Medical Group medical laboratory technician, tests a COVID-19 sample using the BioFire FilmArray instrument April 20, 2020, on Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J. Samples are brought to the laboratory for molecular-based testing to determine if patients may have contracted the virus. From April 19-25, the 87 MDG is celebrating Medical Laboratory Professionals Week to recognize the critical work each laboratory member provides patients on a daily basis.
