Joint Base MDL to partner with AeroDefense to strengthen drone deterrence

The 87th Contracting Squadron on Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J., provides major and minor construction renovation, alteration, repair, demolition projects including architect-engineer design and best-value and performance based acquisition support. In the coming months they will award an approximately $1.2 million contract to AeroDefense, a local business specializing in tracking technology and drone detection to partner with the 87th Security Forces Squadron and 621st Contingency Response Squadron to produce a system to track drones across the installation.
