U.S. Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Michael Miller, Armed Services Whole Blood Processing Laboratory-East medical laboratory technician, drops blood into an assay plate at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J., Sept. 9, 2020. ASWBPL-East medical laboratory technicians conduct approximately 150 to 300 confirmatory tests a day in order to ensure blood type accuracy.
