Army Support Activity holds Change of Responsibility Ceremony

U.S. Army Command Sgt. Maj. Tamara Edwards, Army Support Activity Fort Fix, command sergeant major, coins a member of the honor guard after a change of responsibility on April 29, 2022, at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J. The ceremonial event was held to symbolize the transition of authority from Command Sgt. Maj. Tamara Edwards to Command Sgt. Maj. James Van Zlike. A change of responsibility ceremony is a traditional event meant to reinforce noncommissioned officer authority in the U.S. Army and highlights their support to the chain of command.
