Hackensack Police Department Youth Academy visits Joint Base MDL

A class participant of the Hackensack Police Department Youth Academy performs the Virtual Reality No-Shoot training exercise inside a warehouse at the Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst Police Headquarters on Joint Base MDL, Aug. 10, 2022. The exercise trains class participants on how to use their perception, through VR head wear, when shooting specific targets while avoiding collateral damage during the session. The Hackensack P.D. Youth Academy is a weeklong event that provides seventh to twelfth grade class participants the opportunity to learn about the experiences inside the military and police force.
