USMC conducts joint close air support exercise
U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Jay Westbrook (center), 25th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, Marine Forces Reserve, coordinates simulated air strikes using an L3Harris Tactical Multiband Radio during a close air support exercise at Warren Grove Training Range, N.J., March 11, 2025. JTACs assigned to the 25th Marine Regiment conducted training recertifications, which included both live target coordinated air and artillery strikes. A JTAC is a qualified service member who directs the action of military assets engaged in close land and air support during offensive operations from a forward position.
