NJ fighter wing to conduct demolitions training Published Jan. 10, 2013 By 010113 JOINT BASE MCGUIRE-DIX-LAKEHURST, N.J. -- Members of the 177th Fighter Wing, out of Atlantic City, N.J., are scheduled to conduct demolitions training at the Dix ranges Jan. 12, 2013. The training is scheduled to occur between the hours of 7 a.m. and 11 p.m. This training is essential and helps to ensure the readiness of America's fighting force. As a result of this important training, some residents may hear more noise than usual coming from the ranges and may experience possible ground shaking. It is important to note that noise from the ranges may travel farther during overcast weather conditions. Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst works hard to minimize the impact training has on its surrounding communities and is committed to remaining good neighbors.
