Premiere Science Center to Showcase U.S. Air Force Published May 8, 2008 By 080508 McGUIRE AIR FORCE BASE, N.J. -- The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia will showcase the U.S. Air Force's total force capabilities and assets, May 26 - 30, during 'Air Force Week in Philadelphia.' Military vehicles, equipment and capability demonstrations will be featured from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day. Active-duty, Reserve and Guard Airmen will also be available to explain the Air Force's history, capabilities and technological advances. "We encourage community members to stop by and learn more about how our units work together to maintain air mobility capabilities in a constant state of readiness," said Lt. Col. Eric Moritz, Air Force Week event coordinator. As a way of saying "thanks," The Franklin Institute will also offer service members free admission on Memorial Day, May 26. Air Force Week in Philadelphia will run May 26 - June 2 and provide communities in the Philadelphia metro region the opportunity to see the significant contributions, assets and talents of the U.S. Air Force and its Airmen. The week-long event will culminate with the 2008 McGuire Air Expo, featuring the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds demonstration team, May 31 and June 1.
