McGuire AFB to Host Retiree Appreciation Day

The McGuire Air Force Base Retiree Activities Office will sponsor Retirees' Appreciation Day April 26, starting with an opening ceremony at 10 a.m. at the McGuire club. 

This event will provide area military retirees with information about retiree medical programs, benefit and entitlement programs, and an array of special interest programs dedicated to retirees and their spouses. In addition, there will be an opportunity to receive a special briefing about TRICARE for LIFE -- which is important for all attendees age 65 or older. 

Many services available during Retiree Appreciation Day will include: ID card renewal, vehicle registration and health risk screening. Also, representatives from legal, TRICARE, the Army Air Force Exchange Services, the commissary, the Retiree Activities Office, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, New Jersey Bureau of Veterans Affairs, Penn Veterans Outreach program, and the Military Officers Association of America will be available to answer individual questions. 

Lunch will be available for purchase at the base dining facility from noon to 2 p.m. Attendees are requested to reserve a seat by calling the Retiree Activities Office at (609) 754-2459. 

Retirees interested in renewing their ID cards and vehicle registration must bring all the necessary documentation with them, including: retirement orders (Department of Defense Form 214); marriage, birth or adoption certificates; driver's license; vehicle registration card; and proof of insurance.
