MCGUIRE AFB, N.J. -- McGuire Air Force Base will give local and regional media a behind-the-scenes look at Team McGuire operations here June 25.
The base will host a media day from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., which is open to all accredited media. Media representatives must arrive at McGuire's Arnold gate via New Egypt Road to Cookstown Road by 7:45 a.m.
Media will have an opportunity to meet with senior leadership and personnel from the following Team McGuire units: United States Air Force Expeditionary Center, 21st Expeditionary Mobility Task Force, 305th Air Mobility Wing, 514th Air Mobility Wing (Air Force Reserve Command), 621st Contingency Response Wing, and the108th Air Refueling Wing (New Jersey Air National Guard).
Additionally, media representatives will participate in Eagle Flag, an Air Force-level expeditionary combat support exercise, that demonstrates the training and deployment capabilities of Airmen throughout the Air Force. During the exercise, Airmen will quickly establish an air base during a humanitarian relief operation. Participants will also experience an aeromedical evacuation mission and an air refueling mission between a KC-135 Stratotanker and C-17 Globemaster III.
The day's events will be intensive; therefore, all participants must be adequately prepared and properly dressed.
Media representatives interested in attending must RSVP with the 305th AMW Public Affairs Office at (609) 754-2104 no later than 4 p.m. June 20. Please note media without an RSVP cannot participate in media day.
