Marines conduct range training Published Sept. 19, 2014 JOINT BASE MCGUIRE-DIX-LAKEHURST, N.J. -- The Golf and India Batteries 3rd Battalion, 14th Marine Regiment will conduct artillery fire training in the joint base ranges from Sept. 19-21. The training is scheduled to occur between the hours of 7 a.m. and 11 p.m. This training is essential and helps to ensure the readiness of America's fighting force. The joint base community and residents of the surrounding areas may experience ground shaking and considerable noise coming from the ranges. It is important to note that noise from the ranges may travel farther during overcast weather conditions. Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst works hard to minimize the impact training has on its surrounding communities and is committed to remaining good neighbors. Information regarding the training is also posted on the JB MDL Facebook page (www.facebook.com/jbmdl) and on the JB MDL website (www.jointbasemdl.af.mil).
