Media invited to attend annual Parade of Wreaths ceremony Published May 15, 2014 JOINT BASE MCGUIRE-DIX-LAKEHURST, N.J. -- Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, the Thomas B. McGuire Foundation and the New Jersey State Police will commemorate Memorial Day with the 31st annual Parade of Wreaths ceremony at 10:30 a.m. May 22 at Tommy B's Community Activities Center. Participants in the ceremony will lay wreaths as a tribute to those who gave their lives in service to our country. The guest speaker will be Mr. Walt Tafe, Executive Director of the Burlington County Military Affairs Committee, Director of Military and Veterans Affairs for Burlington County and former 305th Air Mobility Wing Commander. Additionally, the ceremony will feature the North Hanover Township School District children's choir and readings from two elementary school essay winners of the theme "Why do we celebrate Memorial Day?"
