Marines to conduct range training Published Aug. 16, 2013 JOINT BASE MCGUIRE-DIX-LAKEHURST, N.J. -- The Golf Battery 3rd Battalion, 14th Marine Regiment is slated to conduct range training Aug. 16-18, 2013. Training is scheduled to occur between the hours of 7 a.m. and 11 p.m. This training is essential and helps to ensure the readiness of America's fighting force. Residents may hear more noise than usual coming from the ranges and may experience possible ground shaking due to the training. It is important to note that noise from the ranges may travel farther during overcast weather conditions. Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst works hard to minimize the impact training has on its surrounding communities and is committed to remaining good neighbors.
