NASCAR Team Honors Major Thomas McGuire’s Legacy

87th LRS Hosts Inaugural Cross-Utilization Course

The course was developed to implement Air Force Force Generation principles and support operational concepts such as Agile Combat Employment through 10 days of intensive training. The collaboration between 87th LRS, 373rd Training Squadron, Detachment 301, and 305th Air Mobility Wing personnel enabled the use of Multi-Capable Airmen Concepts by building their proficiency, knowledge, and comfort in different Air Force Specialty Codes.

Service members manage stress with 'Bright and Beautiful' Therapy Dogs

Service members, their families, and volunteers with the Bright and Beautiful Therapy Dogs organization interact with K-9s during a visit to Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J. on 23 June, 2023. Bright and Beautiful Therapy Dogs is a non-profit organization that trains, evaluates and qualifies dogs and their handlers to become certified therapy dog teams. Once certified, teams may visit nursing homes, assisted living facilities, homeless shelters, schools, libraries, universities, mental health facilities, and more. The visit was a first for the Joint Base, where support for Comprehensive Airman Fitness and the resiliency factor across the Joint Force remains a top-line priority for leadership.

305th AMW celebrates a century of air mobility

To commemorate the 100 year anniversary of aerial refueling,  26 Air Mobility Command bases from around the nation carried out air refueling demonstrations over the United States and overseas, showcasing that today’s U.S. Air Force is able to deliver unrivaled rapid global reach for U.S. forces and Allies and partners through the Mobility Air Forces fleet of KC-46, KC-135 and KC-10 tankers.
