305th Air Mobility Wing returns home after historic KC-46 deployment

A U.S. Air Force KC-46A Pegasus assigned to the 305th Air Mobility Wing's Mission Generation Force Element (MGFE), taxis on the flightline during sunset at an undisclosed location as part of the mobilization of the MGFE, which provided crucial air refueling support to U.S. and allied forces during a milestone seven-month contingency deployment. The 305 AMW partnered with KC-46 and KC-135 air refueling units and personnel from 16 Active Duty, Reserve and National Guard wings, forming the largest Air Force MGFE in theater and the only MGFE to employ two major weapons systems.
