NAWCAD Lakehurst teammates help develop future engineers through robotics program
May 9, 2023 — Long before working at Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst (NAWCAD LKE), Adam Cyran and Josh Falk developed their passion for the STEM fields as students with their high school robotics teams. NAWCAD Lakehurst supports virtual STEM camp
April 27, 2021 — Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst provided grant funding for and participated in a virtual Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) camp experience for 197 underserved students in New Jersey's Atlantic City, Lakewood, Lakehurst and Toms River townships, in order to encourage their interest in STEM fields. NAWCAD Lakehurst team wins project of the year in workforce development strategic growth
April 13, 2021 — Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst team members received recognition during the 2020 Naval Innovative Science & Engineering (NISE) Outstanding Project of the Year Awards April 7, for the successful technological advancement of the Integrated Launch and Recovery Television Surveillance (ILARTS) System. The ILARTS is used for situational awareness, incident investigations, and aircraft lineup and recovery operations on board aircraft carriers. Due to the low resolution of the legacy ILARTS panoramic cameras and degraded video produced during inclement weather, the fleet communicated the need for better visibility... MORE

NAWCAD celebrates Bill Leach, Lakehurst Mentor of the Year
January 29, 2021 — Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst (LKE) recognized Bill Leach, technical director of NAWCAD LKE’s Mission Operations and Integration Department, for his dedication to the development of future naval aviation leaders during a Jan. 26 virtual ceremony. Leach received the site’s Mentor of the Year award, which is given to an outstanding mentor during the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Mentoring Program’s annual mentorship recognition event. The award distinguishes Leach for his mentorship accomplishments, including mentee endorsement, depth of professional advice and emphasis on the “greater good.” ... MORE
