U.S. Army ROTC Cadets assigned to the U.S. Army Cadet Command 2nd Brigade accept awards for placing first overall during the Ranger Challenge at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J. on Oct. 23, 2022.The competition is conducted over two days on a non-tactical course. The mission is to challenge Cadets' mental and physical toughness and to develop leadership while fostering teamwork and esprit-de-corps. Teams participate in nine graded events, each team is awarded points based on how well they perform in each event. The best team in each event is awarded a trophy for being the first, second, and third place teams. The number one team is The Ranger Challenge Winner for that year.

113th Infantry Regiment conducts Platoon Attack Drill

U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to the 113th Infantry Regiment conduct a platoon attack drill at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J. on Oct. 15, 2022. During the drill the platoon lead squad locates and suppresses the enemy, establishes supporting fire, and assaults the enemy position using fire and maneuver. The platoon destroys or causes the enemy to withdraw and conducts consolidation and reorganization thereafter. Once the platoon conducts action on enemy contact, the squad or section in contact reacts to contact by immediately returning well-aimed fire on known enemy positions. Dismounted Soldiers assume the nearest covered positions available and the element in contact attempts to achieve suppressive fires. Once achieved, the element leader notifies the platoon leader of the action.

Shower, Laundry, and Clothing Repair Specialists are primarily responsible for supervising and performing laundry, shower, personnel and clothing decontamination functions. These capabilities are essential to the health and welfare of soldiers in training or deployed environments. Good hygiene is required by all who are subject to the laws and regulations defined by the UCMJ in order to prevent the spread of disease that may compromise mission success.

The 2100 square foot building is host to an Army Ramp Management Area which provides a wide range of capabilities for both fixed and rotary wing aircraft such as the C-130, CH-47S, and UH-60S. The addition of the new Army Ramp will provide enhanced load out and aviation operation training capabilities, parking for Army aviation aircraft, refueling, troop movement and flight planning operations for approximately 216,000 people that use JB MDL to meet readiness requirements.

404th Civil Affairs Battalion conducts Airborne Ops
