January 12, 2023 — In November 2022, Tech. Sgt. Kenneth Oliver, 605th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron flying crew chief, received the surprise of a lifetime. During morning roll call, 305th Air Mobility Wing leadership notified him that he was selected by Air Mobility Command to commission through the Senior Leader Enlisted Commissioning Program. “It was definitely a surreal moment,” said Oliver. “My mouth was getting dry, I was shaking and couldn’t believe it was real.” ... Through the Fire and Flame: Airman awarded Airman’s Medal for heroic actions
January 10, 2023 — In the heat of the summer of July 2021, a black delivery van crashed into an 18-wheeler on Interstate 295 and erupted in flames. The van then swerved into a guard rail and the driver slumped unconscious into the passenger seat. The airbags deployed and the fire grew, spreading to the nearby shrubbery. Just a few car lengths behind the chaos was Master Sgt. Christopher Isler, who joined the Air Force in June of 2006. U.S. Air Force Airmen assigned to the 305th Air Mobility Wing perform various tasks for the first-ever Multi-capable Airman Rodeo at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J. on Dec. 14, 2022. The 305th Aerial Port Squadron hosted the event where three teams of “Port Dawgs” intermixed with Maintainers competed in a timed bare tine upload of a single pallet, followed by a rolling stock upload of a 10K All Terrain Materials Handling Forklift. The foundation of a rodeo has been around in the Air Mobility sphere for more than 40 years and its purpose has remained the same, to test our readiness capabilities in a competitive environment.

December 15, 2022 — The 2nd Air Refueling Squadron officially began employing the KC-46A Pegasus for combat commander taskings at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, Dec. 1, 2022.
