Joint Base MDL holds 2023 Vietnam Veterans Recognition Ceremony
March 29, 2023 — U.S. veterans and other participants attend a Vietnam veterans recognition ceremony at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J., Mar. 29, 2023. The purpose of this ceremony was to honor and thank the veterans who served their country with courage and selflessness during the Vietnam War, as part of the nationwide effort to recognize their contributions and sacrifices. JB MDL Maintenance and Operations Personnel join forces for the 305th AMW 2022 Flight Safety Symposium
December 13, 2022 — For the first time, aircraft maintenance and flight operations personnel of Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst came together for safety training at the 305th Air Mobility Wing’s 2022 Flight Safety Symposium. The first annual two-day event taught active duty, Air National Guard, and Air Force Reserve Airmen from across the installation the standards and procedures of flight safety, as well as current and emerging challenges, while utilizing cross-communication techniques to prevent future safety incidents. U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Joshua Crockett, 305th AMW Chief of Safety and his team hosted the Flight Safety Symposium on behalf of the 305th AMW commander, U.S. Air Force Col. Elizabeth Hanson. Operation Yuletide: Joint Base MDL gears up for the annual holiday tree lighting ceremony
December 9, 2022 — Through December 6-7, Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst brought nothing but holiday cheer as the annual holiday tree lighting ceremony kicked off for the joint base community. The annual JB MDL holiday tree lighting ceremony featured a variety of festivities, such as: horse-and-carriage rides, funnel cakes, pretzels, hot chocolate, and meeting in-person with Mr. and Mrs. Claus. 87th CEG takes on training for $140 million base-wide energy savings project
November 7, 2022 — Trevor Reilly, Vanguard Energy Partners project coordinator, and Alec Damon, Vanguard Energy Partners project manager, train 87th Civil Engineering Group personnel on the safety and operations of electrical power, outside the 87th Logistics Readiness Squadron Command Section Mobility-Deployment facility on Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J., Nov. 2, 2022. Vanguard Energy Partners hosted solar panel operations training to firefighters, electricians, and planners representing the 87th CEG. The training includes safe shut down and energizing operations and emergency procedures. This event, led by the 87th Air Base Wing Integrated Prevention and Resilience office, was open to the joint base community providing class sessions with a myriad of topics and interests as a way to promote personal resilience, readiness of our Total Force, and continuously improve the quality of life to all individuals.
